The farmhouse was built at the turn of the century, from local stone. It has an attractive
veranda and a garden for you to relax in, while your children can play freely with no fear of busy roads, Smallacombe being at the end of a lane.
We are a 120 acre working farm with sheep and free range chickens. A pony grazes and there are 4 friendly sheep dogs who can regularly be seen at work. A vast array of wildlife are also our constant companions; buzzards, kestrels, pheasents, badgers, and the occasional deer and many other birds and animals.
As a soil association organic farm there is plenty of home produced organic food.
Dartmoor is a comfortable 30 minute drive away with regular guided tours and walks. The South West Way follows the coast. The Dawlish Warren Nature reserve at the River Exe estuary, as well as Haldon Forest, provide some of the best bird watching in the country.
Two golf courses are within three miles of the farm, while Torquay and the City of Exeter are only 12 miles distance.
As you can see Smallacombe can provide you with the ideal farmhouse doliday and a perfect base for exploring South Devon.
